MEMBER SERVICE SPECIALIST

SRT is seeking a Member Service Specialist to join our Member Service Specialist team. This position provides member service and inside sales support to both residential and business customers.  This position also creates service orders.  Responsible for providing superior customer experience with an emphasis on operational efficiency and quality.  We are committed to promoting work/life balance and integration by investing significantly in employee-friendly policies and practices. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer education and promote sale of business and residential products and services.
  • Maintain knowledge and understanding of complex products and services including internet, phone, security, surveillance, Business Cloud Communications, SIP Trunking, and related services.
  • Create and process service order tasks and schedule technicians for customer installations and other work.
  • Provide administrative support for Account Executives and Sales Engineer.
  • Perform receptionist duties including greeting customers, answering/transferring phone calls, receiving and posting payments.
  • Administer SRT directory listing.  Maintain detailed records to ensure accuracy.
  • Participate in ongoing training to keep abreast of technical developments and the skills needed to perform the job.
  • Sustain continuous process improvement perspective. Identify areas of improvement and participate in efforts for continuous process improvement.
  • Assist in the development of processes and procedures to improve and enhance performance and operational effectiveness.
  • Maintains current knowledge and adheres to company policies and procedures.
  • Participates in safety training and employee meetings.
  • Build effective working relationships with employees and customers at all levels.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Work requires excellent communication and teamwork skills to provide superior experience for customers and co-workers.
  • Work requires the ability to use multiple software systems with efficiency, attention to detail, and accuracy.
  • Ability to learn and maintain product knowledge to assist customers and process records accurately.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, organize, prioritize, multi-task, and complete various work assignments on time.
  • High School Diploma at minimum
  • 1-3 years of telecommunications experience preferred.
  • 2 years of customer service or related experience required.
